In Splatoon 3, Turf Wars involve a third-person shooting battle between two teams that both try to cover the field with the most amount of ink before time runs out. As you can imagine, it gets pretty messy, and that’s exactly what happens in this commercial.
Four actors are each playing Splatoon 3 on their respective Nintendo Switch systems, but yellow and blue ink-like paint splatters the streets and buildings around them.
Though the commercial is pretty entertaining, it only demonstrates Turf Wars, just one of the game modes in Splatoon 3. A recent Splatoon 3 Direct presentation dove into many more aspects of the game, which releases next month. There will also be a timed demo at the end of August that will allow you to try out Turf War battles like you can see in the commercial (real-life ink splatting not included), and you can read about when that takes place and how to participate right here.
